Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair
October 29- November 9, 2008
JGMS has 15 exhibits at the Fair and 2 cases for the
Jewelry Contest. There were only (4) four items entered into the Special Fair Jewelry Contest.
The prizes were $50 firstplace, $30 second place, and $20 third place.
Also we had a Best in Show for adults, which was won by a display of Wire Wrap jewelry. The
Best in Show for the Junior category was won by a 12 year old. The exhibits varied from
museum specimens, mineral collections, and many "How to Displays". The Gem and Mineral Exhibits
and the Arts and Crafts will run through Sunday Nov. 9th. Time to claim exhibit entries will
be at 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Please make sure you are there by this time, thank you.
