| Meetings are held at 7:30pm on the first Thursday of every month at the Riverside
Avenue Christian Church. (2841 Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, FL.) See Map

| Purpose |
| The purpose and object of the JGMS is to stimulate interest in rocks and minerals by
furtherance of the activities of the members of this society in the earth sciences; to
disseminate knowledge, methods and procedures for the collection, identification,
classification, cutting, polishing, setting, and mounting of specimens for these
activities; and to promote good fellowship, proper ethics and conduct in the relationships
of said members with each other and with members of other earth science societies in
pursuit of these activities. |
| Membership |
The membership shall be limited to persons who are actively participating in any phase
of work mentioned in the statement of purpose. Admission for membership will require
filling out an application for membership, securing endorsement by one active member, and
paying a fee of $20 for an individual or $30 for a family. Membership allows for
participation in all club sponsored events including meetings, shows, exhibits, field
trips, classes, awards and bulletin articles.
