JGMS Spring Picnic, Mandarin Park
March 29, 2008
It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day. Everyone had a great time with plenty of great food and drink. Events for the day included an award ceremony for Mary Chambliss, an Easter egg hunt, rocks, gems, and jewelry to swap and trade, and of course interesting conversation and good company. Thanks to everyone who helped with setting up and bringing all the accessories needed for a wonderful day in the park.

Mary Chambliss was honored with a lifetime membership. She was also awarded a plaque for her efforts in the club and chairing the show committee.

The swapping and trading tables are lined up in the shade.
Everyone is gathering at chow time.
The smoked pork, chicken and hot dogs were cooked to perfection.
Trying to decide what to eat was the problem.
The wide selection of side dishes made it impossible to taste everything.
This is elegant dining by anyone's standards.
Even the pavilion provides an exceptional dining experience.
The youth are lined up for the Easter egg hunt.
And they're off.
The search for eggs continues.
